Make yourself at home
Tir y Coed is the perfect spot for a reunion or a family get together. It’s all about the Hwyl, space to spread out, peace and quiet when needed, and lots of adventure possibilities within a few miles (we can offer suggestions for a suitable itinerary). Tir y Coed is the ideal base camp for family and friends without the troublesome logistics of putting people up, devising meal plans, and working out how you’re going to be able to watch Bake Off without being interrupted. Swap your mountains of washing up for our mountains, waterfalls and glacial lakes.
Whether you are planning an adrenaline-filled break, a big (or small!) birthday or even Christmas or New Year’s Eve celebrations, you can have the place to yourself. We aim to make your stay a memorable one and that includes the food and drink. Helping the party along are seven different gins (OK, eight, if you include the Gordon’s our mums gave us) and nine whiskeys. And, because drinking without eating never ends well, we can arrange anything from soup and sandwiches to a banquet.
The house will sleep up to 12 (14 including 2 children sharing the main suite). You can have the place
to yourself for £2,400 (£1,950 during the winter – except for Christmas and New Year) for a long weekend, Friday to Monday or a midweek break, Monday to Friday and you can bring up to 2 well behaved, law-abiding dogs for £20/night. We provide cooked breakfasts and a full house-keeping service, ensuring the home fires are burning during chilly winter days.
Have a complete break
When we use the term “holiday” we mean it! A catered holiday at Tir y Coed gives you a real break.
All you need to worry about is what you want to do and where and what to have for lunch! Whether you’re with family or friends, just escaping for a few days or a couple of weeks, the formula remains: We work. You play!
A delicious breakfast and a three-course dinner will be cooked and served for your group every day for at an additional £25 each (half price for little people) except on our day off, which is usually Wednesday, when we can book you into a local restaurant of your choice. If there are children in your party, you can either eat together or opt for them to have an earlier supper – the choice is yours. Afterwards, you just sit back and relax, all the clearing up is taken care of. Since we want to give you what you want, we do ask all our guests to let us know about any food dislikes and allergies before their holiday so that their needs can be catered for. We also like to know at what time you wish to eat.
